Dinner with a Winemaker – Nicolas Scharsch and Domaine Joseph Scharsch, Alsace

Welcome to a unique dinner experience with winemaker Nicolas Scharsch! Domaine Joseph Scharsch, a family estate located in Wolxheim, Alsace, has been in the Scharsch family since the 18th century.

The estate has 12 hectares of vineyards in 35 different plots, where traditional Alsatian grape varieties are grown: Sylvaner, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Muscat, Riesling and Gewürztraminer, as well as Chardonnay for the production of cremant. Since 2009, all cultivation has been completely organic, without chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and the wines have been certified organic since the 2012 vintage. The cultivation is now biodynamic, and the still wines have been Demeter certified since 2021.

During dinner, you will get to know the wines, hear stories about the history of the farm and winemaking, and of course enjoy carefully selected food and wine pairings. Our importer, Tuomo Laitinen from Carelia Wines, will also be present.
